I graduated from Park University in 1978. For eight years I worked in the composing department of a printing company. When my twins were a year old, I made the choice to become a full-time stay at home mom. It was the best decision for me. I was able to be involved in my kids' school activities--everything from working in the library to room parent to serving on the PTA board.
My son, Chris graduated from Truman State and is currently working for DST and living downtown in the Quality Hill area. His plan is to start grad school next year. My daughter, Sara graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art as an illustration major. She is currently living in Baltimore and doing freelance work while holding down a "regular" job to pay the bills.
Now that my kids are grown, I'm a mom to two beautiful golden retrievers. My husband, Alan, is a partner with BKD CPA's and is the tax director for the Kansas City office.
