Linda F. Hemstead, 66, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023 at North Kansas City Hospital with her loving family by her side.  Linda was born September 29, 1956 to Robert K. and Lillian F. (Goodwin) Pore in San Francisco, California.

Linda is a graduate from Park Hill High School and continued her education at Maple Woods Community College earning her Associate of Arts degree.

Linda proudly served her country in the United States Army (6 years); she was stationed in Germany.  While in Germany she met her soulmate, Michael Hemstead. Linda was united in marriage with Michael Hemstead in Kansas City, MO in 1980.  Linda spent the majority of her working career as an Administrative Assistant with the Social Security Office.

She enjoyed crafting, reading, listening to music, gardening and planting flowers.

Linda is survived by her husband, Mike; a daughter Jade Vanessa Bolek and her husband Danny of Kansas City, MO; a brother, Robert K. Pore and his wife Bette; and a sister Mary Scott; and a grandson, Jagger.  She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

A Committal Service will be held at a later date at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO with military honors.  The date and time of the service will be posted as information becomes available.  Memories of Linda and condolences to the family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com.
