Carolyn Homesley (Walden)

Carolyn Fay (Homesley) Walden of Farmington passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at the age of 56. She was born on January 21, 1956, in Phoenix, AZ, daughter of Ray Homesley and the late Marilyn (Newman) Homesley.

Carolyn grew up in North Kansas City, Missouri where she graduated from Parkhill High in 1974. She went on to graduate from Southwest Missouri State University with an Associate's Degree. On December 27, 1975 she married her high school sweetheart, Stan Walden in Kansas City. They made their home in Caruthersville, Missouri from 1977 until 1992 when they moved to Farmington. She was the payroll clerk for the Farmington R-VII School District. She was an avid reader and a musician who played the French Horn as well as the piano. Carolyn enjoyed being a member of the Mineral Area College Community Band. She attended Memorial United Methodist Church of Farmington. Carolyn dedicated much of her time to her family, especially her granddaughter, Kinley Addison Walden, who was the light of her life.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Stan; son, Chad Walden and wife, Megan; daughter, Courtney Walden; granddaughter, Kinley Addison Walden; her father, Ray Homesley and his wife, Laura; two brothers, Craig Homesley and wife, Mary, and Kent Homesley; one sister, Vicki Kirby and husband, Steve; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
